If you know somebody that has been scuba diving Indonesia espically the reefs further to the East, they will tell you unequivicolly that this is the mecca of Asia Diving.
We did a livaboard with Komodo Cruises and I have to tell you that I was very happy with the trip and it was cheap diving to be sure we grabbed someone off the plane and made it a treesome and that was a good way to get cheaper diving as the group of three is harder to turn down than just two or one But having said that sometimes being a duce or a single might be what they need to fill the boat anyway.
We layed in anchor for 2 days and went everywhere by speedboat which was fine by us as we had a very sweet and waveless anchorage. The food was pleantiful and tasty and the crew was very accommoating in all respects when asked for things like unplugging the old pipes but that was the only thing that was a negitive.
I did a Indonesian liveaboard last year and I was not nearly as happy with it ainly becuse in 5 days we got ten dives ! WTF? on this trip in 2.5 days we got 9 dives and a chance to play with Komodo dragons, Cool!
