Gulf Oil Spill

When you look at history we have always outpaced the technology, so first we invent something, then we try to figure out how to fix the consequences down the line.  Always we find that there is unforeseen circumstances, that try as hard as we like, they get us.  Yesterday I was reading about duct tape and how they have it on the space shuttles and older space craft just in case.  I think that duct tape is really industrial grade band aids.

I like the idea of promoting new energy alternatives but thinking that we can make atomic power safe is another fool's venture like deep water drilling. Can anyone forget Chernobyl or 3 mile island, do we really need to go there again?

Now windmills have been around for a long time and besides one going ballistic every once in a while seems to be a pretty safe technology that you personally can stick in your back yard, and hey if that blade is too loud, how about some solar panels or an old oil drum painted black and gravity feeding into your hot water heater. for cooling how a about a tree talk about getting back to basics.

Reduce, reuse and recycle and lets look at proven safe technologies like sweaters, smaller cars and bigger bike lanes, and lawsuits that really hurt & make corporations and there shareholders responsible for their actions, which just might slow them down a little bit.
