I don't think that my friends have been there before and to be fair they probbably don't care but I dove this area last year and we did it for around $75 a day all inclusive. The dive package they are booking in nicer hotels and probbably a nicer boat is going to cost them 6 times as much! Yikes!
The best thing that you can do when you are researching is talk to people that have dove that area before you, many times while they are there , and We all do this, they are comparing prices and you would be surprised at the differences in price, yet the quality might not be in line from a value standpoint for the difference. Many dive resorts will quote really high prices because they know that some people will not do lots of research and they will pay the heavy fare with no complaint. Usually when approached they will lower their rates somewhat for you if you are looking for cheap Asia diving you need to do the research and find the deals if you have a limited budget and want to do lots of diving. If I was spending like my friends I could afford one trip a year but by finding the deals and shopping hard I am diving thre same sites and I get to go diving a lot more so as the say it up to you!
